Other Twelve Step fellowships

Any Twelve-Step fellowship will have useful resources and literature on dealing with life.  The following may be particularly helpful for the sexual anorexic.

Alcoholics Anonymous


Alcoholics Anonymous pioneered the Twelve Step approach, and is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. However, as the original Twelve Step fellowship, their literature is very useful for anyone working the program.

Co-Dependents Anonymous


Co-Dependents Anonymous (CoDA) is a fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is to develop healthy relationships. The only requirement for membership is a desire for healthy and loving relationships. So CoDA has some very helpful resources for sexual anorexics who want to break out of their usual patterns, especially those who are very concerned about what other people think of them.

Emotions Anonymous


Emotions Anonymous (EA) is a fellowship is composed of people who come together to recover from emotional difficulties. The only requirement for membership is a desire to become well emotionally.

The EA book and the 'Living with Emotions' series of leaflets discuss how to deal with aspects of life such as love, fear, perfectionism, control, indecision, shame and anxiety.
